使命 Mission
社區與文化部身為維護帛琉傳統與文化的領導者,一直以來克盡職責,體認到帛琉多樣化的人口組成,社區與文化部針對從年少年到老年等不同群體,創立並設置了各式各樣的計劃與服務,尤其是那些需求最殷的群體。所有的計畫皆提升了帛琉的生活品質,強化了帛琉的社區關懷並讓帛琉成為一個人們想在此工作、生活以及成家的地方。

  • 帛琉之嚴重殘疾補助金之規章條例及標準作業程序已完成並由律政單位審核,其主旨在改善殘疾人士補助基金之任務權限。
  • 審查帛琉國家法典(Palau National Code, PNC)第19條並進行修訂與更新,以反映歷史保存與文化及檔案與博物館的新組織架構。
  • 在總統的指導下進行住房和土地管理與發展事項

  • 傳統知識與文化宣揚(Traditional Knowledge and Expression of Culture, TKEC)之法案仍在國會待審

1998-present
Secretary General
Palau National Olympic Committee

  • Manage and Direct the Operations of the Palau National Olympic Committee;
  • Perform a variety of assignments for developmental purposes of the interest of Palau National Olympic Committee and all 15 National Sports Federations;
  • Independently perform a full range of professional management skills;
  • Manage and supervise all personnel involved in the development of PNOC activities;
  • Responsible for directing and organizing PNOC workforce through all sports federations based on the Palau NOC Strategy Plan and Objectives;
  • Participate in IOC and Oceania National Olympic Committee programs and activities;
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery of Olympic programs in Palau;
  • Liaise between Palau NOC, ONOC, and IOC on the development of sports in Palau;
  • Provide annual budget and solidarity programs for the NOC Board review and approval;
  • Maintain general communications with international sports federations in the interest of sports federations in Palau;
  • Liaise with National Government, State Governments and Traditional leadership on the role of sports in the community;
  • Oversee the delivery of Palau Sports and Education Program;
  • Liaise between sports federations and the regional and international sports bodies;
  • Provide and liaise with government, non-government agencies, sponsors, media and the community to ensure the delivery of programs;
  • To see that the rules and regulations of PNOC are established and implemented;
  • To attend all meetings of the BOARD and submit minutes, progress report of goals and objectives, and a quarterly general report of the affairs of the NOC;
  • To designate the PNOC staff, space, and administrative support services for the National Federations;
  • Manage staff of the NOC, oversee hiring, training and performance review process;
  • Exercise the power the PNOC SECRETARY GENERAL under the general direction of the BOARD;
  • Report directly to the Palau NOC Board.

1997-1998
Executive Director, 1998 Micronesian Games Organizing Committee Palau

  • Managed the Operations of the Micronesian Games Organizing Committee;
  • Worked directly with the Chairman of the Micronesian Games Organizing Committee;
  • Provide Initiatives and plans implementation on the delivery of the Games in Palau;
  • Communications and Organizational management with Team Participations from the 10 participating countries in Micronesia;
  • Provide support and delivery of the sponsorship and marketing of the games;
  • Provide and coordinate support services to each of the subcommittees of the Games to ensure timely implementation of the scope of work;

1995-1997
Administrative Assistant, Office of the Vice President, Republic of Palau

  • Implementation of Youth Programs throughout the community;
  • Provide support and legal assistance to the Legal Council at the VP’s Office;
  • Work with National Sports Federations to create the Palau Sports Commission;
  • Establish the Belau National Games, formerly known as Palau Interstate Games;
  • Provide other managerial and general administrative support to the Office of the Vice President and its activities.

1989-1995
Administrator, Palau Liaison Office in Washington DC

  • Administrator to the Liaison Officer o the Palau Washington DC Office;
  • Coordinate with Palau Ministry of State on communications;
  • Coordinate with office support and administrative work to Palau leadership visits for Washington DC hearings on Compact negotiation and Department of Interior meetings;
  • Provide representation support to Palau community in the States;
  • Representation for any Palau interest in the States.
